The International Young Scholars Workshop aims to provide young scholars working in public policy, public administration and related subfields with an academically rigorous platform for the presentation of research and scholarly exchange. Research in all areas of public administration and policy are eligible. The 2016 workshop, which took place in Cape Town July 21-24, focused on research that advances understanding of global disparities in public policy, public administration, nongovernmental organizations and the communities they serve.
ASPA is pleased to partner with the Graduate School of Rutgers University at Newark and the Conference of Minority Public Administrators for this initiative. The 2016 workshop’s signature sponsor is the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, of Battle Creek, Mich., which generously supported the event through a $20,000 corporate gift.
"This was probably one of the best conferences we have attended. The structure and size of the conference and the mentorship opportunity provided allowed us to network and engage in professional development. We know that our department has worked above and beyond to support us both financially and academically to attend this conference. We are truly grateful for the experience."
