SPOD Request for Nominations


On behalf of Dr. Cynthia Lynch, SPOD Board and the SPOD Election Committee, we are soliciting nominations for the positions of “SPOD Chair-Elect” and “SPOD Board Member.” We respectfully ask all SPOD members in good standing to consider nominating themselves or others they may deem eligible and qualified for the position of either “SPOD Chair-Elect” or “SPOD Board Member.” The Chair-Elect will serve a total of four years: one year as Chair-Elect, Chair for two years and Past Chair for one year. The Board Member(s) will serve a two-year term. If a nominee is not already a SPOD member, s/he must become a SPOD member within 30 days of assuming office. A nominee must also be a member of ASPA.

  • brief biographical sketch and a brief statement of how you will serve the section (2-3 paragraphs max)
  • photo for distribution to section membership

SPOD BOARD MEMBER [2]
Nominations for SPOD Board should include:

ELECTION PROCESS
  • Nomination period: Thursday, December 15, 2016 – Friday, January 20, 2017

  • Nominee’s bios and photos: Circulated to SPOD’s general membership on Friday, January 20, 2017
  • Election period: Sunday, January 22, 2017 – Wednesday, February 22, 2017
  • Election results: Announced to ASPA and SPOD’s general membership on Tuesday, February 28, 2017
  • SPOD Annual Meeting: March 17 – 21, 2017
