Greater Houston Chapter

The Greater Houston Chapter of ASPA hosts public service award ceremonies each spring to recognize the great work of our local public servants. The Public Service Awards include awardees in public service and in public interface. We host fall events for members and the community at large, featuring speakers from areas of interest.

In addition to our awards ceremonies and fall events, we host two current event webinars per year in the spring and fall. Webinars are virtual and free for all to attend.

Other Information

Our fall event for 2022 will be at Texas Southern University on November 10 with the title, "The Role of Non-Profit Organizations in the Community." Last fall, we hosted administrators from The ION: “The Ion fosters a community and culture where corporate innovators, academic partners, community partners, startups, and entrepreneurs come together to solve some of the world’s greatest problems.”

The upcoming webinar will feature speakers from The City of Houston’s effort to reduce traffic fatalities, Vision Zero, and will be held on October 13, 2022 at noon via zoom.
