2008 Fall Student and New Professional Recruitment Campaign

August marks the start of ASPA’s bi-annual Student and New Professional Recruitment Campaign. For the past 11 years, ASPA has launched this recruitment campaign, coinciding with the traditional fall and spring semesters, to attract and recruit students and new professionals into our Society. The purpose is to bring to the attention of our future public administrators the value of ASPA membership. In addition, and most important, our student membership seeks to provide students and new professionals with the support, services and resources needed as they pursue their studies, as well as forming a solid foundation for their future work in the field of professional public service.

It has been ASPA’s university community that has formed the bedrock for this recruitment effort. They have committed their support to ASPA, and to helping us usher in the next generation of public administrators. It is not just the future of ASPA, but these students reflect the growth and viability of the field of public administration and the development of professional public service. Again, we ask you to share the benefits of ASPA membership with your students.

As an incentive to our colleagues in academia, ASPA will offer complimentary conference registrations to next year’s conference in Miami, Florida to the first three members to recruit 25 or more new student members from now through the end of October 31, 2008.
